The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) was recognized as the best police district in Metro Manila during the 111th anniversary of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Monday. Aside from top honors, the QCPD also went home with six other awards out of 14 given at the NCRPO headquarters in Bicutan.
“We congratulate our awardees for a job well done, and their high quality of commitment and dedication they have shown in discharging their duties and responsibilities,” said QCPD director Chief Superintendent Mario Dela Vega.
The QCPD was also adjudged as having the best public safety battalion headed by Senior Supt. Gerardo Ratuita. Its Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) headed by Senior Inspector Rowena Lambojo also took home the best WCPD unit.—Julie M. Aurelio
