Boholano Ciso Morales to train in Mexico

/ 07:08 PM July 25, 2011

CISO “Kid Terrible” Morales of Talibon, Bohol left for Mexico last Saturday to join a training camp and a series of fights that could lead to another world title shot.

The 23-year-old Morales is a former WBO Oriental champion. He was knocked out by Fernando Montiel of Mexico in one round in his attempt to win the WBO bantamweight world title last Feb. 13, 2010.

Morales was inactive for 15 months after that fight but won in his comeback fight last May against Eman Lebanza by unanimous decision in San Francisco, Leyte.
Promoter Sammy Gello-ani of SGG Promotions informed though e-mail of Morales’ big break.

Gello-ani also informed Cebu Daily News that there will be no language barrier because there is a Filipino-American involved in the training camp.

“We are hopeful that Ciso Morales will deliver what is expected of him. All fighters joining the camp have good winning records. For sure, after this camp, Morales will become a better fighter,” Gello-ani said./correspondent Rene Bonsubre Jr.
