Tornado destroys 15 houses in Quezon

LUCENA CITY—A tornado destroyed at least 15 houses in Infanta, Quezon Thursday afternoon, a Quezon police official said.

Quoting spot report from Infanta police station, Senior Supt. Valeriano de Leon, Quezon police chief, said the tornado struck in the villages of Binulasan, Ingas, Abiawin and Catambungan around 4:00 p.m.

Report said the tornado destroyed 13 houses in Binulasan and two in Catambungan.

Several trees were also uprooted and fell on the highway which made the road impassable to vehicles, report said.

Report said a still unidentified little boy was also injured when hit by a falling tree in Catambungan.
