A benefit concert will be held on Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. at the Grand Majestic at Cebu Grand Convention Center on Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Cebu City.
Part of the proceeds of the concert will go to the SOS Children’s Village in Talamban, Cebu City, a home for the abandoned children that also supports the disadvantaged families for the past 32 years.
The concert “Rhapsody in the Air” will feature different bands in Cebu that merged into a group called Phoenix the Band.
The band members are seasoned and upcoming multi-talented musicians who have been performing in and out of the country. They are Janett Villanueva, Ruelfred Lusica, Oscar Aliño, Ferdinand Merced, Precillo Vergara and Mario Capañon from Renaissance, Jennon Suarbal from Session for Band and Nestor Royze Liston from Adlib.
The concert is directed by Mon Villanueva, lead vocalist of The Rainmakers.
Phoenix the Band will play favorite hits from the 60’s to the 90’s.
The benefit concert is hosted by ETS Australia Philippines Inc., a migration agency for study and employment training.
