Philippine Army sets recruitment exams

THE Philippine Army is opening its doors for applicants who wish to be a part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

The Army Recruitment Office in the Visayas has scheduled pre-entry written examinations for officer candidate course (OCC), officer preparatory course (OPC) and candidate soldier course (CSC).

These will be held at the Army Recruitment Office Visayas every Wednesday, District Engineer Office in Toledo City on Nov. 10 at 8 a.m., Sta. Fe in Bantayan Island on Nov. 24 and 25 at 8 a.m. and in Danao City on Dec. 1 at 8 a.m. with contact number 2315157.

Applicants for OCC and OPC must be a degree holder with high scholastic records, a natural born Filipino citizen, at least 5 feet tall for both male and female, with pleasing personality, no pending case in court and physically and mentally fit for training.

OCC applicants must be single and not supporting any child, between 21 and 25 years old on the date of admission. OPC applicants must be commissioned as 2Lt in the Reserved Force (inactive status), between 21 and 30 years old at the start of the training. Requirements for both courses include college diploma, transcript of records, NSO issued birth certificate, 2×2 picture, curriculum vitae (for civilian applicants) and summary of information (for military applicants) and appointment orders as Reserve 2LT (for OPC applicants).

For CS course, applicants must be single and no child, at least 18 years old but not more than 26 years old, 5 feet tall for male and female, physically and mentally fit for training, earned 72 units in college, passed the AFP Aptitude Test Battery with a score of 80 or higher and no pending case in court. Requirements include highest educational diploma, transcript of records, NSO issued birth certificate, any valid ID and 2×2 picture.
