Dumanjug teen washed out to sea

A TEENAGER gathering sea shells along the coast in Dumanjug town, some 70 km southwest of Cebu City, went missing last Tuesday afternoon.

SPO2 Florencio Clarion of Dumanjug police precinct said Regil Sacan, 17, of barangay Cogon, was swept out to sea by strong waves and was not seen again. A search was ongoing.

Cebu had been placed under signal No. 1 last Tuesday and Signal No. 2 yesterday after Tropical Depression Ofel intensified into a storm.
