Couple’s argument turns deadly in Manila

MANILA, Philippines—A woman was killed after being shot by a still unidentified suspect she was allegedly arguing with before dawn Friday, police said.

Senior Police Officer 3 Rodelio Lingcong of Manila Police District’s Homicide Division described the likewise unidentified victim as between 30 to 35 years old, 5-feet tall and wearing in green t-shirt and black plants.

Lingcong said initial investigation revealed that the victim alighted from a motorcycle driven by the suspect in front of house No. 1925 Kahilum Street in Pandacan, Manila at 4:45 a.m., where they were seen arguing.

However, in the middle of their fight, the suspect allegedly wrapped his arms around the victim and shot her in the face, causing her instantaneous death, the investigator said. The suspect, described to be roughly 30 to 35 years old, standing 5’6” to 5’7”, wearing a bull cap and black jacket, fled after the scene on board his motorcycle, he added.

Lingcong said investigators have yet to establish the relationship of the victim to the suspect.

The victim’s body has been brought to St. Yvan Funeral Parlor for autopsy and safekeeping while further investigations were being conducted for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect, Lingcong said.
