Ibabao-Estancia duathlon fires off this Sunday in Mandaue

All IS SET for the 1st Ibabao-Estancia Duathlon race this Sunday starting at the San Roque chapel in sitio Macopa, barangay Ibabao-Estancia, Mandaue City.

The event, held in line with the celebration of sitio Macopa’s fiesta in honor of San Roque and Sta. Cruz on Oct. 27, will also feature a fun run aside from the run-bike-run duathlon.

The fun run is a 5-kilometer race around the streets of barangay Ibabao-Estancia in Mandaue City. The duathlon is divided into mountainbike and folding bike categories.

The fun run starts at 5 a.m. to be followed by the folding bike and the mountain bike duathlon, respectively.

The race is being organized by the Estancia Youth Organization San Roque-Sta. Cruz.

Cash prizes will be given to the duathlon winners while finisher’s certificates will be awarded to the winners in the fun run category.

The top placer in the folding bike category will win P1,500 while the mountainbike race winner will get P2,000. /Copy editor Brian Ochoa
