PAO lawyer wounded in Batangas shooting

BATANGAS CITY — A Public Attorney’s Office lawyer was wounded when shot several times at a parking lot inside the Bulwagan ng Katarungan compound in Barangay (village) Pallocan West here Wednesday morning, police said.

Superintendent Nicolas Torre III, Batangas City police chief, identified the victim as Arsenio Hernandez Jr.

He said at around 7:30 a.m. Hernandez was walking toward his office when shot several times by unidentified gunmen aboard a motorcycle.

Hernandez was rushed to the St. Patrick Hospital while police were in hot pursuit of the gunmen who fled after the shooting.
