MANILA, Philippines—Police authorities are on the lookout for a man who hacked and injured three people in Bataan following a heated argument with one of the victims in the middle of a drinking session over the weekend, police said Monday.
A belated police report from Region III identified the victims as Ramon Pendo, Emmanuel Amojedo and Roger Arago who were allegedly hacked by suspect Alemar Monteverde along So. Lumang Barangay (village) Saysain, in Bagac, Bataan around 8 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Arago, a village councillor, was celebrating his birthday with Pendo, Amojedo and Monteverde when the suspect had a heated argument with one of them.
The suspect left the Arago’s house, but returned few minutes later armed with a bolo (jungle knife) and hacked the victims, hitting Pendo in the face, and Amojedo and Arago in their arms.
It said the victims were rushed to Bagac Medicare Hospital, while Monteverde fled towards the mountainous area of Saysain village.
