Run to help two babies set today at IT Park

The fund-raising running event of NCR Runners and Sugbu Triathlon dubbed Two Hearts to Beat gets underway early today at the Cebu IT Park.

The race starts at 5 a.m. and features 3-kilometer and 5k distances around the Cebu IT Park.

The race is an event organized to help raise funds for the open-heart surgery of Baby Gabrielle Pacana and the post-op expenses of Baby Maven Amora.

Both babies, children of NCR employees, are suffering from congenital heart disease.

FEATURED STORIES

Aside from helping these little warriors, the race also aims to raise awareness of congenital heart disease in young infants that most of these defects are treatable given the proper care.  The open-heart surgery for Baby Gabrielle is scheduled next month in Manila.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each category.
