Hodge tows Meralco to victory over Barangay Ginebra

ROOKIE Cliff Hodge continued his string of impressive performances as he helped tow the Meralco Bolts to a, 95-88 win over the erstwhile unbeaten Barangay Ginebra Kings last night in an out-of-town game of the 38th PBA Philippine Cup in Digos City.
Hodge, the third overall pick in the rookie draft, piled up 13 points, six rebounds, four assists as the Bolts notched their second straight win after starting the season with a 110-112 loss to Talk ’N Text Tropang Texters.
Article continues after this advertisementMac Cardona led the Bolts with 21 and Sol Mercado added 19 but it was Hodge who made an impact in the game.

The Kings absorbed first loss in three games.
Meanwhile, the Alaska Aces try to finally break into the win column when they meet Barako Bull Energy Cola today at the Araneta Coliseum.
The main game will have sister teams Petron Blaze Boosters and San Mig Coffee Mixers going up against each other.
The Aces have been dismal of late, failing to live up to their lofty pre-season billing after losing their first two games.
