Guard nabbed for P200T theft
A security guard was allegedly involved in stealing P200,000 from a gasoline station which he was guarding in barangay Yati, Liloan town, northern Cebu.
Police said Jojie Daclan, 34, admitted his role in the theft after he was arrested at 3 p.m. last Wednesday. The burglary was discovered early morning of the same day.
The thieves took P200,000 from Jetti Gas Station by smashing the window glass of the cashier’s booth.
The theft was discovered by Justine Rhea Pepito Atis, cashier of the gas station.
After the theft, police subjected all the workers to questioning, including Daclan, who was the reliever of the guard on-duty during the incident.
The guard on-duty failed to detect the burglary since he was sleeping in a car when the thieves struck.
