Gas station in Liloan loses P200T

AN unidentified thief ransacked a gas station and carted away at least P200,000 in barangay Yati, Liloan town, northern Cebu.

Police said the theft was discovered by Justine Rhea Pepito Atis, 20, cashier of Jetti Gas Station.

Atis told police that the glass of the cashier’s booth was already shattered when she arrived for work early morning yesterday.

Police said a note found inside the booth read: “dili pa ni mao mam, sunogon pako ni (This is not enough. I’ll burn this next time)”

Chief Insp. Richard Oliver, chief the Lilo-an police station, said workers of the gas station will be subjected to a questioning as part of the investigation.

Oliver said they will also investigate a former employee who was fired last Tuesday.

Police said the gas station had no security security cameras. It had a security guard but he failed to detect the burglary./CORRESPONDENTS JOY CHERRY S. QUITO AND GABRIEL C. BONJOC
