Heavy rains and a slippery road sent a van plunging into a roadside creek Wednesday in Taguig City.

Reynan Gayone, 22, the driver of the closed delivery van, carrying pushcarts and Styrofoam containers, lost control of the wheel as it was plying C5 Road near Barangay (village) Pinagsama.

Gayone and his two passengers, Israel Terado, 22, and Florendo Dural, 48, only sustained minor lacerations as a result of the accident, Taguig City rescue staff Joseph Bayle told the Inquirer.

The driver, however, seemed traumatized, as his seat belt appeared to have choked him, Bayle added.
