Traffic violators’ photos posted

DRIVERS who violate the 60-kph speed limit on Commonwealth Avenue will have their photos posted on the web site of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), according to Chairman Francis Tolentino. In a statement, Tolentino said this should send a strong message to violators that the MMDA means business in enforcing the speed limit on the thoroughfare dubbed the “killer highway” due to the number of traffic accidents resulting in fatalities and injuries that had been reported in the area. “Our campaign against speedsters will have no letup. We will continue going after violators for the protection and safety of the public, specifically the pedestrians and commuters,” he said.—Miko Morelos
