Two killed after bus bumps bike

Two teenagers were killed while six other persons were injured in separate road accidents in southern Cebu last Sunday.

The teenagers, residents of barangay Punlaan, Dumanjug town, died after a Ceres bus bumped the motorcycle they were riding on in barangay Minolos, Barili town, at past 3 p.m.

Alano Limbaga, 18, and Johnson Alvarico, 19, were thrown off the motorcycle and landed on the pavement.

Both victims weren’t wearing any helmets. Bus driver, Rosalio Bayron, 46, surrendered to Carcar police after the accident.

Investigation showed that the victims came from a store in Barili and was heading home on a motorcycle driven by Limbaga when the bus making a u-turn hit them.

The Ceres bus mangement told Barili police that they would shoulder the funeral expenses of the victim.

Earlier at past 1 p.m. in Santander town, a multicab slammed into a Gmelina tree and fell into a 4-meter ravine injuring six persons.

The multicab driver Gino Roda, 45; passengers John Cyrus Billioan, 16; Orlando Amit, 45; Cyrus Clark Pampelo, 28; Rawin Villarin, 33; Wilbur Villarin, 20, suffered injuries in different parts of their bodies and were rushed to the Oslob hospital for treatment.

Investigation showed that the victims were on their way home to Cebu City when Roda lost control of the vehicle in barangay Pasil.
