THE EDUARDO J. Aboitiz Cancer Center (EJACC) and the Icanserve Foundation joined forced anew to stage another edition of the Pink Run on Oct. 20 at the Pueblo Verde Center in MEZ II Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.
The running event aims to spread the awareness of breast cancer in Cebu. It is the highlight of EJACC and Icanserve Foundation’s month-long celebration and campaign of Pink October or the “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”.
Ronaldo Delos Reyes of EJACC led yesterday’s official press conference at the Savoura restaurant in Pueblo Verde. With him were Icanserve Foundation president Mary Anne Alcordo-Solomon, Aboitizland Inc. commercial business unit head Rafael Fernandez de Meza and Kenneth Casquejo, the race director from Kinetic Running Concept.
EJACC will offer free mammography and biopsy to all women willing to be checked for symptoms of breast cancer.
Icanserve Foundation advocates will help motivate and give hope to breast cancer patients this month.
The race will start at 4 p.m. and will feature 3-kilometer, 5k and 10k distances.
Registration can be done at the RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu, MEZ II Office, Persimmon Plus Mabolo and at the Imez Building in Pueblo Verde.
