Talisay cops accused of stealing cash

AN INVESTIGATION will be made into allegations of a German national that three Talisay City policemen who responded to a burglary alarm in his house stole some money bills.

Although the German didn’t file a formal complaint, the matter will still be investigated, said Chief Insp. Eddie Recamara, of ficer in charge (OIC) of the Talisay City police.

The German alerted the police that his house in Pacific Heights Subdivision in barangay Candulawan, Talisay City, was burglarized on Sunday night.

SPO1 Kenneth Abella, PO3 Ferdinand Pablo and PO1 Euwin Pitogo went to the house to investigate.

As they were about to leave, the homeowner frisked them and accused them of stealing 10 euros.

The three policemen denied the allegation.

Recamara said that if the German national fails to prove his allegation, Talisay police will file charges against him.
