MANILA, Philippines—Another “bully” gun owner has been stripped of his license to own and carry firearms, police said.
Chief Superintendent Raul Petrasanta, chief of the PNP Firearms and Explosives Office, said the gun permits issued to businessman Victor Murillo had been revoked after he allegedly threatened to kill Cavite Provincial Prosecutor Emmanuel Velasco.
On Petrasanta’s order, the Cavite police seized a cachet of firearms from Murillo’s residence in Tanza, Cavite, including a .45-cal. pistol, an AK 47 assault rifle, two M16 rifles, a shotgun, one 357 revolver and three .40-cal. pistols.
Last week two other men were stripped of their gun permits. They are Robert Blair Carabuena and Allan Bantiles. Carabuena, a Philip Morris official, was caught on video assaulting a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority traffic enforcer.
Bantiles, on the other hand, allegedly threatened to shoot Jaime Garcia, an 18-year-old-student of Colegio de San Agustin in Dasmariñas, Makati City.
