2 men nabbed in Tuburan twin raids

POLICE arrested two men for keeping firearms in their homes in barangay Poblacion Dos, Tuburan town, northern Cebu.

Recovered from the houses of John Lloyd Roquero,33, and Chiquito Casido Cadano, 46, were two .38 revolvers and magazines, said police.

Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) conducted the raids last Thursday morning based on the search warrants issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Judge Hermes Montero in Toledo City.

Cadano will be charged also for possession of illegal drugs after a pack of suspected shabu was recovered from him, said police.

Police said the twin raids were made due to reports that the two men were seen brandishing firearms outside their houses./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
