UC eyes semis seat vs USC in Cesafi volleyball today

THE race for the semifinals ends today as the final playdate in the elimination round of the 12th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) volleyball tournament commences at the University of San Carlos gym.

In the women’s side, the belles of the University of Cebu are aiming to get into the semis but will be hard-pressed to do so when they tangle with last year’s runners-up, USC. The last ticket to the semis is being disputed by UC and the University of Southern Philippines Foundation.

Meanwhile, in the men’s competition, the University of the Visayas takes on the Cebu Institute of Technology-University. The boy’s class will see the University of San Jose-Recoletos face off against defending champions, USPF.

The reigning girls’ champions, USJ-R, will also duke it out with Southwestern University while USC battles UC. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
