Mall marks Pink Month

SM City Cebu is supporting the Breast Cancer Awareness Month or the Pink Month this October.

The Pink Month is an international health campaign organized by ICan Serve to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those participants having breast cancer.

In SM City Cebu, breast cancer patients can avail of free consultation and counseling in the Pink Room, located outside the mall administration office. Doctors and volunteer nurses will attend to patients every Tuesday and Thursday for the whole month of October from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A Pink Lane in SM Supermarket will serve as a counter for breast cancer patients and survivors for the whole month of October.

Female trio singers Baihana will perform in a mini-concert dubbed Pink Symphony on Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. at the Northwing Atrium.

Shoppers can avail of Pink Coupons for only P100 on Oct. 12-14. The Pink Coupons can be purchased at the lower ground floor of the main mall (fronting Tela Fabrica). Proceeds of the sale will be donated to ICan Serve Foundation.

A silent auction on pink-inspired chairs by Cebu’s top furniture designers happen from Oct. 22 to Nov. 4 at the Northwing Atrium. Proceeds will help fund ICanServe’s projects.

A Mass will be offered for breast cancer survivors on Oct. 28 at 9 a.m. the Northwing Atrium. A healing session will then follow.
