2 dead in plane crash near Clark

CLARK FREEPORT—A Malaysian pilot and a Filipino were killed in a plane crash in Magalang, Pampanga on Friday, authorities said.

Captain Benhur Gomez, president of Omni Aviation Corp. Flying School, identified the fatalities as Tian Yu Wong, who piloted the Cessna Plane 152, and Alfred Christian de Leon, the passenger.

In a report to the police as of 6 p.m., Gomez said the plane “malfunctioned” before crashlanding in Barangay Sta. Maria. He did not elaborate.

Omni is based inside the Clark Freeport.
