MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 4.5 earthquake hit a town in Occidental Mindoro on Wednesday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

Phivolcs’ earthquake bulletin said that the tremor struck west of Paluan municipality in Occidental Mindoro at 7:32 a.m.

The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 22 kilometers.

The latest bulletin likewise showed that the earthquake’s reported strength of Intensity II was raised over Calapan City in Oriental Mindoro.

Meanwhile, Phivolcs noted that there was no expected damage or aftershocks.
