MBC choral competition
The Mega-Manila eliminations for this year’s Manila Broadcasting Company – National Choral Competition will be held on October 6 and 7 at Star Theater, Star City Complex in Pasay City from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Choirs interested in auditioning for the allocated slots in both the children’s division and open category should secure contest mechanics and registration forms by e-mailing [email protected] and bring a hard copy of the accomplished form on the day of the audition.
A prize of P100,000 is at stake for the children’s division winner and P150,000 for the open category winner in the grand championships to be held at Aliw Theater on December 3-7.
Mounted by Asia’s largest radio network, the annual event sets the stage for an international choral festival to be held in Manila next year under the auspices of Interkultur, the Germany-based music organization behind the World Choir Games, in cooperation with the Philippine Choral Directors Association.
