Goldberry makes finals
THE GOLDBERRY Suites would not be denied in their quest to regain the title they lost last year as they downed Insular Square, 57-52, in the semifinals in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association last Sunday afternoon at the SHS-Ateneo campus in Canduman, Mandaue City.
Goldberry leaned on the veteran smarts of many-time league MVP Dave Lim, who canned two freethrows to preserve the victory.
Lim was the lone scorer in twin digits for Goldberry with a game-high 21 points while Antonio Datan and Leigh Dixon each had 14 for the losing squad.
Goldberry will be facing the Cebu Landmasters in the finals after the latter knocked off the reigning champions Dynamic Power, 50-45, in the other semis pairing. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
