A STORE owner was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in barangay Cabancalan, Mandaue City.
George Cortes, 29, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and different parts of the body.
He was standing in front of his store last Friday night when a motorcycle with two men on board arrived. The backrider approached the store owner and without warning shot him several times.
The assailant then returned to the motorcycle and fled.
The victim’s wife rushed outside their house after the bursts of gunfire and found her husband sprawled on the ground.
