‘Delivery boy’ linked to pizza resto robberies

/ 10:24 PM September 20, 2012

A “delivery boy” working for a fast food chain is being linked to a series of robberies targeting pizza parlors, an agent of the National Bureau of Investigation said Thursday.

The suspect identified as Mark Soque was arrested in Pasig City  for another robbery case but was later identified as part of a tandem who held up the restaurants, according to Jose Andres Salac of the NBI-National Capital Region.

Salac withheld the name of the pizza company and the fast food chain Soque said he was working for pending the filing of formal charges.

The NBI agent said Soque was part of a tandem who held up the cashiers or managers of pizza parlors in Quezon City, at the Robinsons’ Galleria mall in Ortigas, and on Pedro Gil, Manila.

He noted that the robberies took place on Mondays, when the restaurants were keeping cash earned over the weekend.
