The Red Lions lead the standings with a 12-2 (win-loss) record while the Stags hold an 11-4 mark. San Beda, which has won the championship for two years in a row now, aims to keep their mastery of the Chiefs which they beat, 81-71 in the first round.

In the second game, in spite of their doormat status, the Lyceum Pirates (3-11) hope to pull off another win as they take on the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals (5-9).

With several key players suspended because of academic issues, the Pirates still managed to upset the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers, 69-62, in their last game. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
