Last year’s finalists SWU, USC clash in Cesafi volley opener
THE reigning champions Southwestern University Lady Cobras get their first test of the season as they face off against the University of San Carlos in a rematch of last year’s finals in the 12th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. women’s volleyball tournament today at the USC gym.
The Lady Cobras have so far been untouchable this season, posting three wins in a row.
The Warriors, on the other hand, also boast of a clean record as they have not been defeated in their first two games.
The girls counterpart of SWU, will also try to follow suit in the footsteps of their seniors when they take on the University of Cebu.
SWU registered the upset of the tournament so far when it beat the 10-time champions University of Southern Philippines Foundation last week.
USPF will aim to get its first win of the tournament when it faces the University of San Jose-Recoletos. USC dukes it out with the neophyte Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu also in the girls division.
