Some Rizal towns still flooded

/ 09:45 PM September 10, 2012

More than a month after the torrential rains that hit Metro Manila, residents in several areas in Rizal province still can’t walk on the streets which remain flooded.

Anton Stanley of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office identified the affected municipalities as Baras, Jala-jala, Cardona, Pililla, Morong, Taytay and Binangonan, among others.

In the Taytay Floodway in Taytay, floodwaters were at knee level, Stanley said.

In Binangonan, all 40 barangays except for Pilapila and Bangad were still flooded, he added.  Kristine Felisse Mangunay
