THE SAN SEBASTIAN Stags will try to pay back the Mapua Cardinals for the loss that they received in the first round when the two squads meet again today in the 88th NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Cardinals shocked the Stags, 61-54, in their first round encounter. However, that did little to slow down San Sebastian, which remain in second place with a 10-3 (win-loss) record.

Mapua is far from the top with their 5-8 card.

Meanwhile, the Letran Knights continue their hunt for a slot in the Final Four when they battle the St. Benilde Blazers in the main offing at 6 pm.

Letran, with a 7-6 mark, is a game behind the Jose Rizal University and Perpetual Help, both with 8-5 records. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
