8 police officials from Central Visayas feted
EIGHT police officials from Central Visayas were awarded with “Medalya Ng Kagalingan” medals.
PNP Director Nicanor Bartolome handed the awards in yesterday’s regional command conference in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Awardees included Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, chief of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7); Senior Supt. Louie Oppus, PRO-7’s deputy regional director for operation); Senior Supt. Rey Lyndon Lawas, former chief of PRO-7 Regional Intelligence Division (RID) and chief of the Lapulapu City Police Office; Senior Insp. Maria Theresa Macatangay of RID; Senior Supt. Constatino Barot Jr., chief of Bohol Provincial Police Office; Chief Insp. Renee Kyamko, chief of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bohol; Senior Insp. Gregorio Sanchez, chief of police Baliliha Police in Bohol, and SPO4 Bernardo Templa, deputy chief of Balilihan police.
Garbo, Oppos, Lawas, and Macatangay were commended for their roles in human trafficking operations, while Barrot and Kyamko were cited for leading the anti-crime campaigns in their jurisdictions./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
