ACTION IN the high school level kicks off as the girls volleyball tournament of the 12th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) starts today at the University of San Carlos gym.
Three games are on tap in the high school competition with the reigning champions University of San Jose-Recoletos taking on USC. USJ-R snapped the University of Southern Philippines Foundation’s lengthy title streak last year.
USPF’s drive for redemption also begins today when they face off against Southwestern Univerity while the University of Cebu battles the debuting Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
The collegiate level will still have games with USC facing off against Cebu Doctor’s University in the lone game in the women’s class.
On the men’s side, CDU takes on the University of the Visayas while the Cebu Institute of Technology-University squares off against UC. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
