THE UPCOMING season in the PBA D-League is expected to be tough one for the three-time defending champions NLEX Road Warriors as they try to assimilate new faces to their fold in the wake of the exodus of players to the big leagues.
Nine players joined the draft but only five were selected by different teams in the recent PBA Draft led by second pick Calvin Abueva, Clifford Hodge, Chris Ellis, Dave Marcelo and Eman Monfort.
However, the Road Warriors reloaded by signing Cebuanos Greg Slaughter and Oping Sumalinog along with Nico Salva and Adamson forward Eric Camson.
Four of the nine NLEX players who joined the draft, namely Woody Co, Jaypee Belencion, Eric Suguitan and Karl Dehesa, have remained unsigned as of Thursday and may opt to return to the team./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
