TONTON Maningo, Oasis of Love Batch ‘55 director is encouraging the youth and other batches of Oasis of Love to take part in the charity-based running event aptly dubbed “Race For Faith” this Sunday at the Mantawi Drive near Parkmall in Mandaue City.
The run has already gathered around 500 runners but said their target is 1,000.
“We would like to encourage more members of the Oasis of Love to join our first venture into running which is for the benefit of Batch 56’s spiritual seminar this year. They can help us a lot in raising funds for spiritual seminars so register now,” said Maningo.
The running event will feature 14-kilometer, 5k and 3k distances to be handled by race director Joel Juarez. Registration is ongoing at the RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu City Sports Center and Cebu Catholic Television Network (CCTN) office.
“We would like to invite all Oasis of Love members here in Cebu to register and help us in our upcoming activities besides making them fit and healthy,” added Maningo.
The 14k registration fee is pegged at P280 inclusive of race singlet while 5k and 3k runners will have to pay P250. One slot will be given free for every group of 10 runners. Free breakfast and refreshments will be given after the race.
Maningo also thanked their generous sponsors Kia Motors, Gonzaldo Enterprises, Jj and J Construction and General Supply, Ana Construction, Edanna Construction, Lourdes Catering and Services, Nature’s Spring Water and RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu.
