Roxas’ nomination letter sent to CA on Monday, says Palace exec

MANILA, Philippines–According to the Office of the President, the nomination letter of new Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II was transmitted to the Commission of Appointments on Monday morning, a Malacañang official said.

On the other hand, the nomination letter of Cavite Rep Joseph Emilio Abaya, who was appointed secretary of the Department of Transportation and Communications to replace Roxas, has not yet been transmitted to the CA, according to Edwin Lacierda, spokesperson of President Benigno Aquino III.

“OP will inform us the date of transmittal,” Lacierda said on Monday.
