BOYSEN AND Unitec zoomed right to the top of the standings as they hurdled their respective opponents in the classification round of the United Architects Basketball Club Corporate Cup which was held last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
Unitec and Boysen each had to show their endgame poise against their competitors last weekend, with each overhauling a deficit at the end of the third period.
Unitec downed Megabond, 59-55, while Boysen caught the biggest fish of them all in defending champions, Durabend, 73-70.
Michael Cinco led Boysen with 26 points and seven rebounds as they upped their record to 2-0 (win-loss).
Durabend, which dropped to 1-1, was paced by Jay Ramodes’ 16 points.
Meanwhile, Klein Baladya spearheaded Unitec’s second victory in as many outings with 16 points spiced with four steals.
The other game in the triple-header saw Multiline notch their first win in the tournament after defeating Davies, 62-47.
