THE Limasawa Customs Brokerage stunned Green, 85-82, Thursday night for solo second spot (5-1) in the Bureau of Customs-3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-2012 basketball tournament at the Benedicto College gym in Mandaue City.
Limasawa led, 22-20 in the first period then increased this to 10 in the second, 51-41 by outscoring Green 29-21.
Green then outscored Limasawa, 20-15 in the third to close in at, 61-66 entering the fourth.
Green fielded Noel Medalle in the fourth and the 3-point artist quickly made his presence felt by draining a booming triple that resulted in the game’s last deadlock at 82-all with 38 seconds remaining.
However, Limasawa’s Reden Villaronza answered with his own triple in the closing seconds for the final tally.
Taks Moral and Tony Largoza led Limasawa Brokers with 16 and 14 points, respectively, while Bryan Rabago and Noel Medalle paced Green with 18 and 13 points.
Earlier, Avenido Customs Brokerage improved to 3-3 after crushing Blue (2-4), 77-66.
