The bodies of two more suspected victims of summary execution have been found in Quezon City, both bearing strangulation marks and dumped openly on the street. This raised the number of “salvage” victims found in the city to 11 this month alone, according to police records.
Case investigator PO2 George Caculba said a man was found dead at around 5:40 a.m. Friday in front of Geneva Garden on Commonwealth Avenue, Barangay North Fairview. The victim was described to be between 40 and 45 years old, 4’10” in height and wearing a blue shirt and gray shorts.
A taxi driver, Laurence Lorenzo, discovered the body lying face down on the sidewalk. On Thursday, another man was found dead at 5:30 a.m. in front of a house on Blumentritt Extension near Calamba Street in Barangay San Isidro Labrador.
The second victim appeared to be between 30 and 40 years old, 5 feet tall and wearing a black shirt and blue shorts. The man also sported tattoos. Caculba said a single group could be behind the deaths of the 11 victims found in the city this month.
