IS promotion eluding you? Maybe you need to assess your competency skills by taking advantage of the free skills certification of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).
This is Tesda’s second tranche for the national technical vocational education and training assessment and certification (NATCAC) offered for free in time for its 18th anniversary.
Tesda-7 is offering the certification for free until Aug. 31.
“Workers should avail of this assessment because the national certification (NC) issued by Tesda is an affirmation of their skills competency,” said Tesda-7 Regional Director Rose Urdaneta.
NATCAC is a program intended for drivers, welders, plumbers, and those engaged in hotel and restaurant management, information technology, electronics and automotive.
“This is an additional point for them in terms of promotions and a requirement by local and international employers if they want to go abroad,” Urdaneta said.
Competencies of the NC aspirants will be evaluated based on their performance on the hands-on and written examination.
Applicants can inquire on the service and schedule of assessments at the Tesda regional or provincial office in Lahug, Cebu City.
Tesda’s free synchronized assessment is a three-part series. The third tranche will be on September.
The assessment may be used for workers who want to apply and qualify for a higher skilled, higher paying jobs locally and abroad.
It is available for skilled workers, technical-vocational graduates or even returning overseas Filipino workers.
