The late poet and fictionist Edith Tiempo was married to fellow writer Edilberto Tiempo. Born on April 22, 1919, some of her published works include the novels “A Blade of Fern” and “The Native Coast.” She was conferred the National Artist Award for Literature in 1999. She passed away a year ago today on August 21. She was 92. Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
