Dave Peñalosa stops Thai foe in 4th round

DAVE Peñalosa beat Yodpichai Sithsaithong via fourth-round knockout in in Mandaluyong City last Saturday.

The 21-year-old Peñalosa remains undefeated and improved to 5W-OL, 3 KOs.

He is the son of former two-division world champion Diosdado “Dodie Boy” Peñalosa .

Sithsaithong dropped to 7W-6L, 3 KOs.

This was the second time the Thailander lost in the Philippines.

Last year, he was stopped by Marlon Tapales in Tubod, Lanao del Norte also in four rounds.

Meanwhile, Eden Sonsona (29W-6L, 9 KOs) stopped another Thai, Petchnamnung Sithsaithong, in the second round.

The 23-year-old Sonsona is the cousin of former WBO superflyweight champ Marvin Sonsona.

Petchnamnung dropped to 9W-2L, 7 KOs.

Sonsona has won three straight fights since losing to Jonathan Oquendo of Puerto Rico two years ago.
