Federal Tyres supports multi-titled DGL Motorsports

SHOWING STRONG confidence towards a multi-awarded racing team, Federal Tyres Philippines of PPC Asia Corporation signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Cebu’s DGL Motorsports for another year of partnership in the country’s motorsports scene.

The MOA signing was held last Thursday at the Radisson Blu Hotel at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City.

Present during the signing were top officials of PPC Asia and DGL Motorsports.  Federal Tyres Philippines president Ronnie Co and DGL Motorsports’ president and team captain David G. Lim led the signing in front of local media.

Joining them were DGL Trucks operations manager Gary Go, DGL Trucks CEO Judilyne Lim, PPC Asia Corporation’s Visayas area sales manager Boy Tiu and PPC Asia account manager Jose Clifford Bio.

The partnership meant that DGL Motorsports, one of the top racing teams in the country, will be using Federal track tires during competitions in autocross events.

“We’ve got the best tires for tough competitions,” said Go in a press statement. “Federal’s RSR 595 is race track proven.”

DGL Motorsports has dominated the autocross scene in the region for the past two years headed by back-to-back Philippine Autocross Championship Series Regional Driver of the Year, Cebu Driver of the Year and Kartzone Series Driver of the Year  David G. Lim. The team is also composed of  2010 Regional Novice Driver of the Year David Lim Jr. and noted race tuner Mato Tan.

The team is coming off a good start by bagging overall title in the 1st leg of the 2011 Regional Autocross Championship Series held at the Gaisano Bowlingplex parking lot last month. They are preparing for the second leg to be held in Bacolod this weekend.

Federal Tyres, meanwhile, said in a press statement that it would continue to support motorsports.
