LUCENA CITY—The Quezon provincial government gave out awards to the province’s model citizens that included the highest ranking official of the military, a judge, a photographer and a Church leader.

Gen. Jessie Dellosa, Armed Forces of the Philippines chief of staff, is among 10 recipients of the provincial government’s “Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan” (QMK) award given to model citizens of the province.

Aside from Dellosa, the other awardees are Brig. Gen. Nestor Anonuevo, Maria Rhodora Fresnedi, Judge Rodoldo Obnamia Jr., photographer George Tapan, Msgr. Ramon Tiama, engineer Renato Maza, lawyer Manuel Barcelona Jr. and Buenaventura Luces.

Dellosa, a member of the Philippine Military Academy Matapat Class of 1979, was born in Bacon, Sorsogon, but his family migrated to Lucena City after his father, also a soldier, was assigned to Camp Nakar in Barangay Gulang-Gulang here.
