Binay warns against text scam anew

/ 09:39 AM August 07, 2012

VICE President Jejomar C. Binay reiterated his warning against circulating text messages claiming that the recipient has won a raffle draw sponsored by a certain      “Binay Foundation.”

Binay urged recipients to contact his office at 832-6791 local 105 or 106 or at [email protected] for verification.

According to Binay, the Office of the Vice President does not engage in raffle draws,  nor in cash assistance program. “Just to clear the issue, please ignore any messages claiming such, because those are certainly scams.” The Vice President also ordered his office to investigate the matter.
