Sales clerk killed, security guard hurt in Talisay attack
A 26-year-old sales clerk was killed while an 18-year-old security guard was wounded after they were waylaid by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Lawaan 3, Talisay City, southern Cebu.
Roly Cueva, sales clerk of Cebu Atlantic Hardware in barangay Bulacao, Cebu City, died with three gunshot wounds in the back.
Jun Cris Quiroga, a security guard of the GDS Security Agency detailed at the hardware, was wounded in the shoulder.
Police said Jorildine Ababon, 19, was identified by a witness as the alleged gunman in the shooting.
Police said Cueva and Quiroga were on board a motorcycle when they were shot at by the gunman on board a separate motorcycle past 6 p.m. last Saturday.
The victims were with Delre Ortega, 33, merchandiser of the same hardware, who escaped unharmed.

Police said the three men were traveling in barangay Lawaan 3 when a backrider of a motorcycle tailing them opened fire.
Ortega flagged down a taxi and brought Cueva and Quiroga to the Minglanilla District Hospital where Cueva was declared dead by the attending physician.
Police said a love triangle is being looked into as a possible motive in the attack.
SPO1 Mikie Espina of the Talisay police said Cueva reportedly had an affair with a co-worker who already had a boyfriend.
Espina said the boyfriend threatened Cueva after he learned about the relationship.
