Hero’s welcome awaits Casimero Wednesday

IBF junior flyweight world champion Johnriel Casimero will be treated to a hero’s welcome once again when he arrives this morning here in Cebu City.

 
The 22 year old year old from Ormoc City affirmed his status as a legitimate world boxing champion when he defended his crown for the first time in enemy territory, beating Pedro Guevara by split decision in Mexico over the weekend.

 
SGG Promotions informed that there will be motorcade that will parade Team Casimero from the Mactan International Airport to his home base, the Omega Boxing Gym in Mabolo. There will be a press conference at the Omega gym upon their arrival.

 
Team Casimero is expected to arrive between 10:30 to 10:50 a.m. today accompanied by his trainer Cristopher ‘Pingping’ Tepora and Promoter Sammy Gello-ani. /Correspondent Rene Bonsubre Jr.
