MJDL, Limasawa win in Customs-Abbariao hoop

MJDL Customs Brokerage crushed Cebu International Port Users (CIPU), 96-83, for its 2nd straight win and a share of the lead with Green ( 2-0) while the Limasawa Customs Brokerage drubbed Avenido Customs Brokerage, 87-72, last Saturday in the ongoing  Customs-3rd Major Alfonso Abbariao Cup-2012 Biggest Loser basketball  at the Basak San Nicolas gym.

 
MJDL led from start to finish to seal the 13-point win.

 
Power forward Janus Abellana scored 27 points for MJDL while pointguard Elran Gelbolengo fired 26 points for CIPU.

In the other game, Avenido Brokers led, 24-16 in the first period but Limasawa responded with a blistering 22-12 run in the second to erect a 2-point lead, 38-36 at the half.

Limasawa then put the game beyond Avenido’s reach with a massive, 29-14 streak for a commanding 17-point lead, 67-50, entering the final quarter and never looked back.

 
Taks Moral and Francis Palero paced Limasawa Brokers with 20 and 18 points, respectively, while Rito Castillo led the Avenido Brokers with 20 markers.
